Luminaries

RCBoisjoli introduces a new product debuting at the TOAE.
These simple but elegant cast porcelain luminaries are a result of exploring the translucence of porcelain and the possibilities of decal application.

During sunlit hours only the clean porcelain cylinder is visable, but at night with the help of a simple candle, images appear!
Opaque decals applied inside the Luminaries appear when the porcelain is lit up. The warm tones of the candle seem through, creating a lovely earthy luminescence, a great contrast to the cool porcelain seen during the day.
The flickering candle animates the decals, adding life to each piece.
