Flocked

Elk Crock

We don't often get to throw forms at rcboisjoli, with most of our focus on the plaster lathe, but here's a great one-off project. The large crock form was had thrown on the wheel, fired, glazed and finally flocked! The elk silhouette was painted through a hand cut frisket stencil. An adhesive was applied and then thousands of polyester fibers were projected into the awaiting glue. Resulting in a bold and fuzzy decorative finish.
