The studio is abuzz with projects, shows and commissions too. My studio mate Filipa is preparing dutifully for the One Of A Kind show. She has been producing so much beautiful work lately.
rcboisjoli has been working on a great design commission for a new bowling alley! These are porcelain lighting components modeled after ten pin bowling pins.
Right is the model for the molds needed to cast the lighting fixtures. It was hand turned on the plaster lathe to specs accommodating for lighting and shrinkage. Left are the first rounds of pins drying out, waiting for clean up.
